Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson grew up in Mexico in a family who was devoted to music. When she was a kid, she listened to many traditional music as well as traditional boleros. Also, she listened to traditional romantic ballads and ranchero. Ana is a fan of tangos and operas as well as other theatrical performances. Ana started learning how to play and sing from an early age, along together with her mom. She received more formal singing instruction when she was 16 years old, under the legendary Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. She furthered her training in music in the School of Music of Guadalajara University, and then the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. While a young student and professional, she performed with various chamber groups as well as opera choruses in Guadalajara as well as Mexico City. When she moved in America, United States, she performed as a member of the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. After 2002 she moved to southern California. She sings as a soloist Latin American music for private occasions and is a part of Ensemble XXI in Redlands. Passion and enthusiasm for art, music, and performing has her involved with a variety of local initiatives as a performer and teacher. Ana was also a member of both the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is presently a professor in The Performance Loft. Ana thank Inland Master Chorale members for their permission to play traditional Latin American song.
